About the event

The Positive Birth Program, developed by Hypnobirthing Australia™, is a 12-hour course designed to help you achieve a calm and enjoyable birth. Through a combination of mental, emotional, and physical techniques - including deep relaxation, visualization, self-hypnosis, positive affirmations, movement, light touch massage, breathing, vocalization, and acupressure - you will learn how to prepare for and experience labour with confidence.

Hypnobirthing is a method of childbirth education that focuses on positive birth and all women and partners can benefit from it.

The course also explores the physiology of birth, stages of labour, contraction management, and self-advocacy, empowering you to make informed decisions and feel in control of your birthing experience.

  • Teaches a combination of mental, emotional, and physical techniques, including:

Created by midwives Tessa Stogian and Samantha Rouse, The Midwives House is where women, families, and practitioners come together in care and community.

The Midwives House acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and gather. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their ongoing connection to Country, culture and community.
