About the event

The Midwife Sessions

Learning, remembering, reclaiming.

The Midwife Sessions are small, in-person gatherings designed to nurture the midwife as much as the knowledge. Together, we step outside the hospital walls to reflect, remember, and grow.

Each 2-hour session is capped at 10 participants, keeping the circle intimate and allowing space for connection, questions, and shared experience.

These sessions aren’t lectures. They’re conversations. They’re about returning to the roots of our practice, holding the hormonal matrix in mind, and exploring what it really means to be with woman.

Created by midwives Tessa Stogian and Samantha Rouse, The Midwives House is where women, families, and practitioners come together in care and community.

The Midwives House acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and gather. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their ongoing connection to Country, culture and community.
