About the event

💜 Do you serve women in pregnancy or postpartum?

💜 Are you curious about how Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches nourishment during this sacred window of time?

Join us in the heart of The Midwives House - our cosy kitchen - for a beautiful, hands-on workshop hosted by our very own Dr Nori.

Nori will be cooking up a healing postpartum chicken soup, sharing insights into the energetic and nutritional principles that guide Traditional Chinese Medicine in the weeks after birth. She’ll walk us through the ingredients, their meaning, their function - and their flavour. Yes, there will be tastings. Yes, you’ll leave full in more ways than one.

This is a gentle, grounding session especially for doulas, birth workers, student midwives, and mothers themselves - anyone drawn to deepen their understanding of postpartum care through the lens of nourishment.

Created by midwives Tessa Stogian and Samantha Rouse, The Midwives House is where women, families, and practitioners come together in care and community.

The Midwives House acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and gather. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their ongoing connection to Country, culture and community.
